Katlin Isaacs

Katlin was born in Winston-Salem and grew up in Mount Airy, North Carolina. She graduated from NC State, majoring in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism with a concentration in Program Management.  Following her degree, Katlin went on to become the Director of Fitness and Wellness at the Governors Club in Chapel Hill, NC.  There, she was able to extend her knowledge in working with seniors adults, golf, and tennis players.

Katlin has extensive experience and multiple professional coaching certifications, including the title of USA Gymnastics Professional Coach and National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer.

Katlin has been involved in fitness since the age of four. She was an elite competitive gymnast for 15 years before entering the world of CrossFit.  
Katlin became part of CrossFit in 2014 and her talent was immediately apparent.  As an athlete, she placed in the top 1% of all competitors in the 2015 CrossFit Open.  Out of greater than 8,000 women in the Mid-Atlantic region, she placed 60th overall.  This included a 2nd place finish in Event 15.2 and an 11th place finish in Event 15.4.  And although gymnastics movements come naturally to her, Katlin excels with the barbell also.  Despite her small stature, Katlin is one of the strongest female athletes in the gym, posting a 330+ lb back squat and 225+ lb clean and jerk.

Just after two years of training in the sport of fitness, Katlin was able to qualify for Regionals which was held in Atlanta.  Going in as a rookie, she was able to manage to find herself sitting in the top 10 after day 1, and ended up placing in the top 20 by the end of the weekend.

Katlin lives and breathes fitness, and loves to coach in both individual and group settings.  She believes that intrinsic motivation is the key to success in gymnastics, CrossFit, and athletics in general.  Her experience as both a personal trainer and a competitive gymnastics coach has allowed her to work with a broad range of athletes from beginner to elite.  Not only that, but Katlin also has extensive experience working with senior adults improving their quality of life through working with them on functional movement patterns and muscle imbalances.  Whether you are looking for weight loss, improving general fitness, improving functional fitness, or an improvement in athletics, she can help you.

Gymnastics / Specialty Training: Katlin is offering one on one training which includes basic and advanced approaches to common CrossFit movements including the hand stand push-up, chest to bar pull-up, muscle-up, pistol, and handstand walk. 
Personal Training:  Katlin offers personal training services to both members and non-members of Invictus Sports Performance.  Her most common clients are those interested in general fitness as well as CrossFit athletes looking to improve their gymnastics and / or weightlifting skills.
